DESCRIPTION:Prof. Anna Fontcuberta i Morral\, EPFL\nNanowires are filament
 ary crystals with a tailored diameter of nanoscale dimensions. This partic
 ular shape and size renders them particularly interesting for a variety of
  applications ranging from optoelectronics\, electronics\, biosensors and 
 energy harvesting. In this seminar I will discuss growth of high quality I
 II-V nanowires by molecular beam epitaxy as well as some of the novel prop
