  talk I will present some results obtained in joint work with L. Funar (In
 stitut Fourier-CNRS) on the explicit construction of quasi-homomorphisms o
 n the universal central extension of the mapping class group of an oriente
 d surface. These come as restriction of Dupont-Guichardet-Wigner quasi-mor
 phisms on pseudo-unitary groups\, and their construction is inspired by th
 e work of Barge-Ghys on quasi-homomorphisms on Symplectic groups. These ob
 jects have two main properties: first\, as showed by Burger and Iozzi\, th
 ey classify pseudo-unitary representations of the mapping class group\, an
 d second because they allow to estimate the size of the kernels of the TQF
 T representations of the mapping class groups.
