 ties of adjoint functors between tensor triangulated categories\, we clari
 fy the deep relationship between Grothendieck duality in algebraic geometr
 y and the Wirthmüller isomorphism in equivariant topology. This generaliz
 es and partly simplifies previous work of Neeman and Fausk-Hu-May\, respec
 tively. I will explain how both phenomena (among others) fit in a general 
 theory of dualizing objects at the triangulated level.
