 \nThis award supports independent and early career investigators who have 
 innovative and high impact ideas or new technologies applicable to Parkins
 on’s disease research and patient care. This will provide funding and ex
 perience necessary for productive career progression at the forefront of r
 esearch specifically on non-motor aspects of PD.\nCandidates must be indep
 endent investigators not above the level of Assistant Professor (tenure tr
 acks) or equivalent. Candidates must never have received an R01 grant from
  the National Institutes of Health.\nFunding is worth up to US$250\,000 in
  direct costs over a maximum of two years\, and may cover salary\, researc
 h supplies\, clinical research costs\, travel between collaborating organi
 zations\, travel to attend meetings\, data-sharing and publication costs\,
  and equipment costs. Clinical trials are not eligible for this award.
