 \nThis award supports research with the aim of developing new treatments o
 r improvement of current treatments for depression\, specifically in indiv
 iduals with or at risk for Parkinson’s disease. Research efforts that wi
 ll make significant advancements in the understanding of serotonergic and 
 non-serotonergic molecular pathways identified with depression and associa
 ted biologic phenomena that link the pathways to other risk factors in the
  development and progression of PD are encouraged.\nCandidates must be ind
 ependent investigators at associate professor level or higher.\nFunding is
  worth up to US$1.5 million in direct costs over a maximum of three years\
 , and may cover salary\, research supplies\, clinical research costs\, tra
 vel between collaborating organisations\, travel to attend meetings\, data
 -sharing and publication costs\, equipment costs and support for multidisc
 iplinary collaborations
