DESCRIPTION:Brando Bellazzini\nUsing unitarity\, analyticity and crossing 
 symmetry\, we derive universal sum rules for scattering amplitudes in theo
 ries invariant under an arbitrary symmetry group. For effective field theo
 ries\, the amplitudes in the IR are calculable and the sum rules set posit
 ivity constraints on the parameters of the effective Lagrangian. As exampl
 es\, we discuss positivity bounds for effective theories of Goldstone Boso
 ns\, and for the higher curvature corrections to Einstein-Hilbert generate
 d by perturbative UV-completions of gravity.
