  way musicology is conducted\, both by opening up new avenues for research
 \, and by reforming the way in which traditional areas of scholarship are 
 approached. In this talk\, I introduce some promising sub-disciplines of 
 “Digital Musicology”\, discussing the benefits they bring\, but also h
 ighlighting where caution is needed to ensure musical validity and usefuln
 ess (that is\, to make sure these digital musicologies remain “musical
 ”).\n
