DESCRIPTION:European Commision\nThe RISE funding scheme fosters staff exch
 ange between the academic and the non-academic sector and between European
  and non-European countries.\nThe RISE funding scheme is bottom-up\, meani
 ng there are no topics predefined by the European Commission. RISE project
 s are carried out within the framework of a consortium involving 3 or more
  partners.\nOrganisations actively involved in research/innovation are inv
 ited to propose joint projects.\nSupport is provided for the development o
 f partnerships in the form of joint research and innovation activities bet
 ween the participants.\nThe 2016 RISE call for proposals is open from 8 De
 cember 2015 with a deadline on 28 April 2016. It has an overall budget of 
 €80 million.
