DESCRIPTION:On January 15th EPFL Geotechnical Engineering Group celebrated
  its 80th anniversary. Participants who received congratulations\, were Pr
 ofessors\, Post-Docs and PhD students from three laboratories: Laboratory 
 of Soil Mechanics (LMS)\, Laboratory of Experimental Rock Mechanics (LEMR)
 \, Laboratory of Geo-Energy (GEL). For them it was great honour and pleasu
 re to welcome five Professors from other universities who are globally rec
 ognized as experts in geomechanics/geotechnics: Prof. Tomasz Hueckel (Duk
 e University)\, Prof. Joseph Labuz (University of Minnesota)\, Prof. Patri
 ck Selvadurai (McGill University)\, Prof. Ronaldo Borja (Stanford Universi
 ty) and Prof. Antonio Gens (Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya).\nLike 
 each participant\, Chair "Gaz Naturel" personnel contributed to the celebr
