DESCRIPTION:Verity Elston\nThis full-day workshop focuses on identifying t
 he parameters of an individual's job search\, their skills and interests\,
  goals and methods\, within the context of a particular employment environ
 ment. It helps participants to identify opportunities for a career path ou
 tside the university environment. It consists of a full day of presentatio
 ns\, discussions and practical exercises to explore career development for
  researchers in the Life Sciences\, in Switzerland and in Europe more gene
 rally.\nThis workshop is leaded by Verity Elston\, who conducts ongoing qu
 alitative and quantitative research on careers for doctorate holders in Sw
 itzerland and in Europe.\nThe course is for a maximum of 15 people and it 
 is open to the whole scientific SV community. However\, because of the lim
 ited number of participants\, priority will be given to postdoctoral resea
 rchers and to SV-Postdoc Association members.\nThe cost of the course is 1
 00 CHF for non-members\, and 85 CHF for members of our association\, inclu
 ding coffee break. Further information regarding the payment will be provi
 ded after the registration will be closed and the participants list will b
 e defined.\nPlease take note that lunch is not provided\, so you are expec

  Participants will also be asked to fill a questionnaire to provide some p
 reliminary information on their background and objectives. This informatio
 n will provide the basis for practical exercises during the workshop.\nPle
 ase note that in case of cancellation after the 26th of February\, we will
