 bjectives \nAcademic mobility comes in two main flavours: accepting a res
 earch position abroad\, and short-term travelling for collaborations\, mee
 tings or fieldwork. Both can pro - vide great opportunities as well as cha
 llenges\, especially with children involved. Mobility can be an important 
 factor for success in an academic career\, and is nowadays even seen as an
  essential requirement in many cases. We will discuss opportunities\, chal
 lenges and impact of academic mobility. Participants will receive informat
 ion and feedback on how to organize a move abroad and short-term travellin
 g. They will be encouraged to self- reflect in order to make a grounded de
 cision regarding mobility in their own lives.Objectives:\n\n		Find creativ
 e solutions to balance private goals and your family situation with travel
  requirements\n	\n		Understand opportunities\, challenges and impact of ac
 ademic mobility\n	\n		Have practical information on how to find a position
  abroad and how to prepare for an international move\n	\n		Have stronger b
 asis to decide on how mobile you want to be as scientists.\nMethods\nTheor
 etical input will alternate with individual\, pair and group work.Registra

 stitutions. Registration is done online and opens 6 weeks before the cours
 e begins. \n+++++++++++++++++ \nThe REGARD programme is addressed to you
 ng female academics of the next generation and for women professors of the
  universities of French-speaking Switzerland\, HES-SO and EPFL. The REGARD
  programme is organized by the gender equality offices those institutions.
    The objective of the REGARD program is to develop skills and offer co
 ncrete tools for career management and supervision. These workshops also c
 reate spaces for discussion and exchange of experiences among researchers.
  They also aim to increase awareness of gender equality issues in academic
  careers.
