 ocused on the basics of diffraction and spectroscopic experiments with syn
 chrotron radiation.  In the second part\, Dr Chernyshov will use many exa
 mples to show the methods in practice for hydrogen storage materials\, ele
 ctrochemical processes\, solid-state batteries\, MOFs\, catalysis\, and so
 me other case studies. Finally\, experimental opportunities offered by Swi
 ss-Norwegian Beamlines will be reviewed together with the user policy and 
 practical aspects of beam time allocation.
