 focused on the basics of diffraction and spectroscopic experiments with sy
 nchrotron radiation.  In the second part\, Dr Chernyshov will use many ex
 amples to show the methods in practice for hydrogen storage materials\, el
 ectrochemical processes\, solid-state batteries\, MOFs\, catalysis\, and s
 ome other case studies. Finally\, experimental opportunities offered by Sw
 iss-Norwegian Beamlines will be reviewed together with the user policy and
  practical aspects of beam time allocation.
