DESCRIPTION:SNSF International Division\nUnder the bilateral programmes ru
 n by the Swiss Confederation\, the SNSF and the South African National Res
 earch Foundation (NRF) have launched a joint call.\nThe SNSF has launched 
 a second call for Joint Research Projects (JRPs) together with its South A
 frican partner organisation\, the NRF. JRPs enable researchers in Switzerl
 and to collaborate with a South African partner. The SNSF will cover the c
 osts incurred in Switzerland\, and the NRF the costs in South Africa. The 
 two organisations plan to fund 12 projects under the current call\; the pr
 oject duration has been extended to 4 years.\nThe following topics are add
 ressed in the call:\n		Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being: from n
 ew tools to systems understanding\n	\n		Sustainability\, focusing on the f
 ollowing fields: Environmental Sciences\, Engineering and energy-related i
 ssues\n	\n		Social sciences and humanities (including law) in the context 
 of current and coming societal challenges\n	\n		Methodologies and technolo
 gies for data intensive applications\nApplicants must consult both the Swi
 ss and South African host institution concerning their internal intellectu
 al property regulations. For market-oriented projects\, it is important th
 at an agreement be reached in advance. It is the responsibility of both PI
 s to make sure such an agreement is signed before the project starts. The
