DESCRIPTION:Research cooperation with Japan\nThe Strategic Japanese-Swiss 
 Science and Technology Programme is aimed at researchers in Switzerland wh
 o wish to address specific research questions together with partners in Ja
 pan.\nJoint Research Projects (JRPs) allow researchers in Switzerland to c
 ollaborate with a partner in Japan. The projects have a duration of three 
 years and the SNSF will cover up to CHF 250’000.- for the Swiss partner.
  The project grants cover similar costs as national SNSF projects (equipme
 nt\, research funds and salaries). JSPS will cover the costs incurred by t
 he Japanese partner.\nThe call concerns projects in the following areas:\n
 \n		Biology\n	\n		Medicine\n	\n		Humanities\n	\n		Social sciences\n\nThe c
 all for proposals is open from 16 March to 6 June 2016.\nApplications must
  be submitted to the SNSF (via the mySNF platform) and to JSPS. For more d
 etailed information\, please refer to the call document.Important: Earlies
 t possible starting dates of the projects is 01.01.2017. The selected Japa
 nese researchers are required to start the projects between January and Ma
 rch 2017.
