 pean cities where inner urban development is seen as a priority\, this res
 earch develops a methodology for assessing urban renewal strategies at the
  neighborhood level. The aim is to offer to public authorities a new decis
 ion making tool for urban planning of the existing built fabric. The new m
 ethodology\, named URBIUS\, gives an indicators system for a comparative a
 ssessment of urban renewal scenarios of existing neighborhoods. Four case 
 studies have been also carried out on representative neighborhoods.
