DESCRIPTION:Dr. Jana Döhner\, University of Zürich\nStimulated Emission 
 Depletion (STED) microscopy was developed by S. Hell who received the Nobe
 l prize (as well as the E. Betzig and W.E. Moerner prize) "for the develop
 ment of super-resolved fluorescence microscopy". The new microscope enable
 s to improve the resolution in all three dimensions and provides maximal f
 lexibility in terms of selection of fluorophores due to the three depletio
 n wavelengths (592 nm\, 660 nm\, 775 nm). More information about this tech

 ssibility to see this new instrument we are proposing a workshop Wednesday
 \, 20. April 2016. After a brief theoretical introduction in the morning t
 here will be a hands-on session in the afternoon. There will be a session 
 with standard samples as well as sessions with your favorite specimen. In
