 onsider large-scale resource allocation problems under uncertainty. Inhere
 nt real-world uncertainty guarantees that deterministic optimal solutions 
 are rarely\, if ever\, executed. By proactively modelling uncertainty\, ro
 bust methods attempt to generate solutions that are less vulnerable to unc
 ertainty. We will examine the application of robust methods such as the Be
 rtsimas and Sim approach and Chance-Constrained Programming\, which repres
 ent two different paradigms: worst-case and probabilistic modeling. We dis
 cuss differences in models and solutions generated by these approaches\, a
 nd propose extensions to these models that overcome some crucial limitatio
 ns.
