DESCRIPTION:The third call for the EPFL Fellows postdoctoral fellowship pr
 ogramme will be launched today\, 1 July 2016\, with a deadline of 1 Octobe
 r 2016 (17:00 hr. CET). EPFL Fellows is a Marie Skłodowska-Curie COFUND p
 roject (under Horizon 2020). The programme aims to attract talented postdo
 ctoral researchers from all over the world to the EPFL and to provide them
  with excellent conditions for research at our School\, to develop their l
 eadership potential and to position them for future success as research le
 aders.\nThese fellowships\, 24 for this call (compared to 12 in 2014) may 
 be held in any scientific discipline within the EPFL and run for a period 
 of 24 months.  Applications have to be made in close collaboration with a
  Principal Investigator\, the Fellow’s host professor. The applicants sh
 ould arrange in advance a research plan with their Principal Investigator.
 \nWith regard to the funding scheme\, the ‘EPFL Fellows’ fellowship wi
 ll consist of a monthly contribution of 2’625 Euro to the salary of the 
 postdoc at EPFL. The remaining part of the salary needs to be provided by 
 the hosting Professor.\nThe selection process is based on an international
  peer review process. The proposals are reviewed by international experts 
 who evaluate and score the proposals according to the evaluation criteria 
 for the programme. The EPFL Research Commission makes the final decision o
 n the attribution of the fellowships\, while taking into account the resul
 ts of the international evaluation process.\nApplications for the second c
