  biology and bioengineering through the recruitment of junior faculty. To 
 explore this avenue further\, the Institute of Bioengineering organizes a 
 one-day symposium featuring young scientists at the very forefront of the 
 field\, active in areas such as functional genomics and epigenetics of emb
 ryonic stem cells (ESC) and induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cells\, stem ce
