 tion is a promising approach for modelling and control of the multiphysics
  tokamak system. This method is based on the explicit representation of al
 l power exchanges between the multi-domain subsystems. Hence\, it allows t
 o consider subsystems with complex dynamics\, including non-linear behavio
 ur or spatially distributed phenomena.\nIn this work\, a port-Hamiltonian 
 model has been derived for the Thermo-Magneto-HydroDynamics (TMHD) of plas
 mas in tokamaks\, including Maxwell field equations as well as energy bala
 nce equations in different domains. A controlled model is obtained\, using
  the geometric spatial reduction methodology which aims to preserve\, thro
 ughout the reduction\, both the symplecticity of the interconnection struc
 ture and the important physical quantities of the original system. Taking 
 advantage of these conserved structure and quantities\, a general controll
 er named IDA-PBC (Interconnection and Damping Assignment – Passivity Bas
 ed Control) is proposed. It is applied to the TMHD tokamak plasma system f
 or the plasma current profile control. The method has been validated both 
 on simulation and real time tests on TCV.
