 rmed in 2006 to create new opportunities to link together the research cap
 acity of Switzerland’s academic institutions in materials science and to
  build strong industrial partnerships. \n\nAfter 3 years of existence\, th
 e turn out in terms of results of funded projects\, participation in CCMX 
 courses and events and the growing network of industrial/academic partners
  is very encouraging.\n\n\nInvitation to participate\nWe would like to inv
 ite you to participate in the Annual Meeting of the Centre at which you wi
 ll join representatives of a broad spectrum of materials-related activitie
 s from industry\, the economy and academia.\n\nBased on the feed-back rece
 ived in the previous years\, the format of this year’s annual meeting wi
 ll be adapted to allow the participants to follow all the talks. Highlight
 s of happenings will be presented by all our Education and Research Units*
  and our Analytical Platform by the Directors themselves as well as by the
  researchers and the industrial partners. Outsider’s views on CCMX will 
 also be on the agenda with presentations from the industry. \n\n* ERUs –
