DESCRIPTION:Cécile Deslot (PhD student\, LMFA\, Ecole Centrale de Lyon)\n
Physical phenomena encountered in turbomachinery are numerous and complex.
Fixed and rotating blade rows moving relative to each other generate a fu
lly unsteady flow. Currently\, reducing inter blade row distances is of pr
imary interest in industry. Rotor stator interactions\, generally divided
into pressure effects and wake effects\, particularly increase.\nOur study
couples experimental and numerical methods to investigate the rotor stato
r interactions in a specially designed turbine cascade. After a brief desc
ription of the 3D Navier Stokes code used\, the pressure effects and the p
hysical phenomena resulting from its interaction with the blades will be d
escribed. Significant flow field modifications will be highlighted.
