DESCRIPTION:Swiss Network for International Studies (SNIS)\n\nThe Swiss Ne
 twork for International Studies (SNIS) offers project grants for pluri-dis
 ciplinary research teams. The project grants run for two years and range f
 rom 100’000 to 300’000 Swiss Francs. Project proposals by eligible ins
 titutions must qualify as:  \n\n	International studies: Projects carry ou
 t research on global issues that are either relevant in the international 
 arena or at least concern multiple countries simultaneously. The SNIS cons
 iders that International Studies deal not only with the analysis of intern
 ational relations\, but also with political\, economic\, social\, environm
 ental\, legal\, health\, scientific and development issues.\n	Pluri-discip
 linary: Projects are pluri-disciplinary and they can include disciplines 
 from both social and natural sciences.\n\n \nIn addition to the above cri
 teria\, the SNIS strongly encourages collaborations with International Org
 anisations and NGOs.\n\nThematically\, submissions can be made in one of t
 he following sections:      \n\n	General call: In any area of internati
 onal Studies as defined above.\n	Special theme 2017: Migration in the lens
  of the sustainable development goals (SDGs) with the following sub-themes
 :\n	\n		demography and migration\n		environmental change and migration nex
 us\n		gender and migration\n		migration governance and human rights\n		tec
 hnology and migrant integration\n		transnational connectivity and migratio
