DESCRIPTION:Svetlana Isakova\, JetBrains\nAbstract: \nKotlin is a modern s
 tatically typed language targeting JVM and JavaScript and intended for ind
 ustrial use. The main goal of this project is to create a language that wo
 uld be a good tool for developers\, i.e. will be safe\, concise\, flexible
 \, 100% Java-compatible and well-supported by IDE and other tooling. Kotli
 n is an open-source project developed by JetBrains\, creators of IntelliJ 
 IDEA and ReSharper\, with the help of the community. This talk tries to ex
 plain the reasons standing behind creating one more programming language f
 or the JVM platform. We'll focus out attention on the following features o
 f the language:\n\n	Nullable types\n	Extension functions\n	Lambdas with re
 ceiver\n	Coroutines\n\nWe'll discuss: \n\n\n	how Kotlin achieves very goo
 d compatibility with the Java code\;\n	why Kotlin is good for writing DSL'
 s and why some functions from the standard library look like built-in cons
 tructs\;\n	a new feature of Kotlin that generalizes async/await.\n\n  To
