 you an introduction to science crowdfunding and how you can benefit from t
 he funding provided by the recently launched Science Booster program.\n \
 nCrowdfunding is becoming more popular each day with people funding thousa
 nds of fresh initiatives that would otherwise never see the light of day. 
 It is now an integral part of public support for culture and technology. B
 ut this kind of resource is still missing in science\, especially for shor
 t-term and small- scale projects.\n \nTo change this\, the Gebert Rüf St
 iftung has partnered with wemakeit\, the largest crowdfunding platform in 
 Switzerland\, and has pledged CHF 225\,000 for a Science Booster that will
  give researchers from within and outside academic institutions a chance t
 o actively engage with the public in an original way and raise funds to te
 st unconventional scientific ideas. The Science Booster is now open for ap
 plication and the projects will accept contributions from the crowd in ear
