DESCRIPTION:\nEuler systems have been powerful tools in the study of the
  Birch and Swinnerton-Dyer conjecture. As such\, understanding more conce
 ptually the constructions of Euler systems and relating these to other ar
 eas of mathematics such as representation theory could be of great inter
 est. The goal of the conference will be to discuss novel constructions 
 of Euler systems coming from special cycles on Shimura varieties or specia
 l units. These constructions are often motivated by problems in represent
 ation theory connecting the Langlands program with the Birch and Swinner
 ton-Dyer conjecture and its generalizations such as the Bloch--Kato--Beil
 inson conjectures. Moreover\, emphasis will be given to Iwasawa-theoreti
 c applications including constructions of p-adic L-functions attached to
  automorphic forms\, central value formulas for these p-adic L-functions
 . \n
