DESCRIPTION:Lucio Kilcher\nAbstract: MEMS mirror have been developed since
the early 90’s\, originally for telecom-switching application\, but als
o in parallel for scanning-based laser projection systems with the great b
enefit of providing a projected image with very large color gamut\, always
 -in-focus\, ultra-small and low power. Lemoptix\, a spin-off from the EPFL
Micro-Systems laboratory was one of the pioneer in this field and has dev
elop in-house MEMS-based laser projection system for multiple markets\, ra
 nging from Head-Up Display in car\, wearable glass\, 3D sensing and pico-p
rojector. The company has successfully been acquired by Intel in 2015.\n\n
Bio: Lucio Kilcher co-founded Lemoptix SA in 2008\, recently acquired by I
 ntel Corporation\, 8 years after its incorporation.\n
