DESCRIPTION:In the framework of the Marie-Curie Innovative Training Networ
 ks project TERRE (www.terre-etn.com)\, the Laboratory of Soil Mechanics of
  EPFL is proud to host an International Doctoral School dedicated to Unsat
 urated Soil Mechanics.\nThe School aims to spread knowledge about Unsatura
 ted Soil Mechanics with lectures given by internationally renowned experts
 . The first part of the school will cover the fundamentals of mechanical a
 nd hydraulic behavior of unsaturated soils and introduce modern trends in 
 experimental methods and constitutive modelling. The second part of the Sc
 hool will be dedicated to engineering applications involving Unsaturated S
 oils.\nA one-day guided tour of the Mont Terri Underground Research Labora
