 biophysics\, medicinal chemistry\, and nanobioscience. A starting point is
  often new synthetic methodology\, including reagents for solid-phase synt
 hesis and for chemoselective chemistry on carbohydrates\, peptides and pro
 teins. Recent examples include the use of abiotic ligands to control the q
 uaternary architecture of proteins\, and new tools for glyconanotechnology
 . He received the 2012 Leonidas Zervas award.
