 objectives\nThis participative workshop is designed to support participant
 s in becoming excellent speakers. Specifically\, it will assist you with:\
 nEffectively employing verbal and non-verbal skills for two-directional co
 mmunication\nConveying more confidence and assurance\nPreparing for questi
 ons\nDesigning presentations to support a clear\, memorable take-away mess
 age\nIdentifying a few key areas for you to improve your presentation skil
 ls\n\nApproach\nParticipants will work individually and in small groups on
  a variety of reflective and practical exercises designed to assist them i
 n transferring the skills to their own presentations. Particular emphasis 
 has been made to make the workshop relevant for science. Each participant 
 will give a five-minute presentation on her research\, or an aspect of her
  work\, which will be video recorded. Constructive\, individual feedback i

 er institutions.\nRegistration is done online and opens 6 weeks before the
  course begins:  www.unifr.ch/regard\n\nThe REGARD programme is addressed
  to young female academics of the next generation and for women professors
  of the universities of French-speaking Switzerland\, HES-SO and EPFL. The
  REGARD programme is organized by the gender equality offices those instit
 utions.\n\nThe objective of the REGARD program is to develop skills and of
 fer concrete tools for career management and supervision. These workshops 
 also create spaces for discussion and exchange of experiences among resear
 chers. They also aim to increase awareness of gender equality issues in ac
 ademic careers.
