DESCRIPTION:The Swiss Programme for Research on Global Issues for Developm
 ent (r4d programme) is a joint funding initiative by the Swiss Agency for 
 Development and Cooperation (SDC) and the Swiss National Science Foundatio
 n (SNSF). The r4d programme supports research aimed at solving global prob
 lems with a focus on least developed\, low and middle income countries.\
 n\nThe third thematically open call of the r4d programme supports research
  on global issues in the context of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Develo
 pment.\n\nDeadline for pre-proposals: 12th of June 2017\nDeadline for full
  proposals: 8th of January 2018\nFunding : up to CHF 600'000\nDuration : 4
  years\nSubject : The thematically open module invites high-quality resear
 ch that contributes to the solution of global problems in least-developed\
 , low- and middle-income countries. The topics in this module will be defi
 ned bottom-up\, i.e. by the researchers themselves. The projects will be e
 valuated in two stages (pre-proposals\, full proposals).\nFor more informa
