 he State Secretariat for Education\, Research and Innovation (SERI) entrus
 ted the SNSF with the operational management of the European Cooperation i
 n Science and Technology (COST) as of 1 January 2017. The first call for r
 esearch projects related to COST Actions will be launched on 27 March 2017
 .\n\n\nCOST promotes Europe-wide scientific cooperation and coordination b
 etween various national research activities. It operates by means of netwo
 rks\, known as COST Actions. The research activities of at least seven cou
 ntries are coordinated in these networks.\n\nThe aim of the SNSF call is t
 o support young researchers (PhD/doctorate and postdocs\, or researchers w
 ith comparable qualifications) who wish to participate in a COST Action to
  boost scientific cooperation and develop extensive networks across Europe
 .\n\nSubmission deadline: 12.05.2017\nFunding: CHF 320'000 max. for a four
