DESCRIPTION:Clif Kussmaul is Co-PI for multiple Process Oriented Guided In
quiry Learning grants from the US National Science Foundation and Google.
He has led guided inquiry learning workshops for the American Society of E
ngineering Education\, among others across the US and south India\, where
he was a Fulbright scholar. He is an Associate Professor at Muhlenberg Col
lege\, USA and holds a PhD from UC Davis.\nGuided Inquiry Learning is a te
aching approach used to develop engineering thinking skills\, cited by a N
ature editorial as the “prime example” of an effective pedagogical in
novation. This evidence-supported approach offers an alternative to step-b
y-step exercises and lab protocols by introducing more opportunities for s
tudents to encounter uncertainty and complexity.
