 s open to female and male PhD students and postdocs.\n\nDescription and ob
 jectives\nAcademic mobility comes in two main flavours: accepting a resear
 ch position abroad\, and short-term travelling for collaborations\, meetin
 gs or fieldwork. Both can provide great opportunities as well as challenge
 s\, especially with children involved. Mobility can be an important factor
  for success in an academic career\, and is nowadays even seen as an essen
 tial requirement in many cases.\nWe will discuss opportunities\, challenge
 s and impact of academic mobility. Participants will receive information a
 nd feedback on how to organize a move abroad and short-term travelling. Th
 ey will be encouraged to selfreflect in order to make a grounded decision 
 regarding mobility in their own lives.\n\nObjectives:\n\n	Find creative so
 lutions to balance private goals and your family situation with travel req
 uirements\n	Understand opportunities\, challenges and impact of academic m
 obility\n	Have practical information on how to find a position abroad and 
 how to prepare for an international move\n	Have stronger basis to decide o

 weeks before the course begins:  www.unifr.ch/regard\n\nThe REGARD progra
 mme is addressed to young female academics of the next generation and for 
 women professors of the universities of French-speaking Switzerland\, HES-
 SO and EPFL. The REGARD programme is organized by the gender equality offi
 ces those institutions.\n\nThe objective of the REGARD program is to devel
 op skills and offer concrete tools for career management and supervision. 
 These workshops also create spaces for discussion and exchange of experien
 ces among researchers. They also aim to increase awareness of gender equal
 ity issues in academic careers.
