DESCRIPTION:EPFL’s Blue Brain Project is hosting an open workshop on Thu
 rsday 4 May 2017 at the Campus Biotech in Geneva.\n\nThis workshop seeks t
 o bring about informal discussion and the exchange of ideas between the si
 mulation neuroscience and machine learning communities through scientific 
 talks and open discourse.  In addition\, we hope this workshop will begin
  to lay the groundwork for bridging the gap between outcome and performanc
 e-oriented research in the field of machine intelligence\, and the mechani
 stic and process-oriented focus of fundamental neuroscience\, and provide 
 an opportunity for synergistic collaboration\, and exchange of ideas and w
