 e Euresearch.\n\nAs a quick reminder\, The ERC's mission is to encourage t
 he highest quality research in Europe through competitive funding and to s
 upport investigator-driven frontier research across all fields\, on the ba
 sis of scientific excellence.\n\nAdvanced Grants may be awarded up to € 
 2.5 million for a period of 5 years. (pro rata for projects of shorter dur
 ation). However\, an additional € 1 million can be made available to cov
 er eligible “start-up” costs for researchers moving from a third count
 ry to the EU or an associated country and/or the purchase of major equipme
