DESCRIPTION:Abstract: Let M be a finite von Neumann algebra. We consider a

 nd  \nwe endow it with the Finsler quotient metric induced by the p-norm o
 f  \nM. We will discuss the  problem of finding curves of minimal length o
 n  \nthese type of homogeneous spaces.
