DESCRIPTION:Prof. Ahmed I. Zayed\, Department of Mathematical Sciences\,
DePaul University\nIn the last twenty years or so a number of fractional i
ntegral transforms have been introduced\, some are purely mathematical and
some have practical applications\, especially in signal processing and op
tics.\n\nIn this talk we introduce some of these fractional integral trans
forms\, in particular\, fractional Fourier transforms and their properties
and then discuss their relationship with time-frequency representations\,
such as Radar Ambiguity functions\, Wigner distributions and wavelets.\n\
nBio: I am a Full Professor and the Chair of the Department of Mathematica
 l Sciences\, DePaul University\, Chicago\, Illinois\, the 10th largest pri
vate university and the largest Catholic university in the United States.
I came to Depaul University in September 2001 to chair the department. Pri
or to that\, I was as Associate Chair for Graduate Studies at the Departme
nt of Mathematics\, the University of Central Florida\, Orlando\, Florida
 (UCF).
