 Synapsis Foundation - Alzheimer Research Switzerland ARS announces a Resea
 rch Grants competition. The goal of the Synapsis Foundation is to support 
 innovative research projects on Alzheimer’s disease and other neurodegen
 erative disorders.\n\nThis mechanism supports postdoctoral and PhD researc
 h projects (submitted by principal investigators) at Swiss Universities an
 d Research Institutions.\n\nA Synapsis Foundation project funding is grant
 ed up to CHF 300’000 for a period of maximum 3 years (e.g. CHF 100´000 
 per year for a three-year project). Institutions may not charge indirect o
 r overhead costs on these awards.\n\nTOPICS\n\n	Basic research in genetics
 \, molecular and cell biology of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementi
 ng illnesses\n	Innovative approaches towards the pre-symptomatic diagnosis
  of Alzheimer’s disease\n	We welcome high-risk proposals based on sound
