DESCRIPTION:\n\nThe SNSF is participating in the first call for proposals 
 within the scope of the Southeast Asia – Europe Joint Funding Scheme.\n\
 n​The objective of the Joint Funding Scheme (JFS) is to bring together S
 outheast Asian and European researchers and innovators and allow them to c
 ollaborate on topics of mutual interest. The JFS is a scheme for pooling r
 esources at a multilateral level to support collaborative research and inn
 ovation projects.\n\n\n\nDeadlines: 30.06.2017\, 18.00 CET\nFunding : The 
 maximum amount allocated per project is CHF 250\,000 (for Switzerland).\nD
 uration : Maximum 36 months\nSubjects :\nThe call is open in the following
  thematic areas:\nHealth\, with preference:\n\n\n\n	Sub-topic 1: Anti-micr
 obial drug resistance (new drug candidates (preclinical)\, diagnostics\, t
 ransmission\, antibiotic use and resistance in livestock\, surveillance\n	
 Sub-topic 2: Emerging infectious diseases (new drug and vaccine candidates
  (preclinical)\, diagnostics\, epidemiology\, public health preparedness)\
 n\n\nClimate Change/Environment\, with preference:\n\n\n\n	Sub-topic 1: Ad
 aptation/resilience of food production systems (including varietal improve
 ment of (plantation) crops)\n	Sub-topic 2: Impacts of Climate Change on Ec
 osystems/Biodiversity (including analysis of diversity-stability relations
 hips and ecosystems productivity)\n\n\n\nThe respective thematic areas sho
 uld be approached from a multi- and interdisciplinary point of view in ord
 er to ensure optimum synergies and networking options. Project proposals f
 rom all kinds of disciplines are welcome as long as they fit into the them
 atic scope and add value for all participating countries.\n\n\nFor more in
