 In this presentation\, I will talk about Wikimedia Foundation's Research t
 eam\, how it operates\, and what it does. I will present some of the work 
 that has been done in the team and in collaboration with researchers in ac
 ademia and industry\, and talk about the direction of the team in the comi
 ng year. This will be an interactive presentation with the goal of sharing
  the state of research at the Wikimedia Foundation and providing a platfor
 m for exchanging ideas. Come with your questions\, comments\, and the curi
 osity towards Wikipedia and other Wikimedia projects.\n\nBio:\nLeila Zia i
 s a Senior Research Scientist at the Wikimedia Foundation. Her research in
 terests include quantifying and addressing the gaps of knowledge in Wikipe
 dia and Wikidata\, understanding Wikipedia's readers\, and studying the co
 ntributor diversity on Wikimedia projects. She received her PhD from Stanf
 ord University in Management Science and Engineering.
