Kuncak\n\nAbstract\nThe goal of time-based cryptography is to introduce t
he concept of time in cryptography. As there are two distinct views on tim
e\, one is the amount of time it takes and one is the progress of time\, a
timed-release encryption scheme always requires a certain amount of time
or a certain time period to be passed in order to be able to perform the d
ecryption.\nIn this write-up\, we introduce some timed-release encryption
schemes based on two different approaches and propose research directions.
