 l Foundation (MIF)\, “Towards A Greater Understanding of Japan and a Las
 ting World Peace”\, MIF has started the Research Fellowship Program in 1
 980 to encourage short-term research exchanges of 3-6 months in Japan.\n\n
 Next Call Deadline: August 31st\, 2017\nEligibility Requirements:\n\n	Appl
 icants of non-Japanese nationality\;\n	a Doctorate degree\;\n	must be 49 y
 ears old or under\; \n	not have been in Japan previously\;\n	have firm po
 sitions and professions in their home nations\; etc.\n\nHost Institution I
 n Japan:\nApplicants are free to select host institutions (university rese
 arch laboratories\, national research institutions or the corresponding fa
 cilities of private industry)\nFellowship Details:\nStipend for research a
 nd stay\, Insurance\, Air transportation (a round-trip air ticket to/from 
 Tokyo) and Lump sum on arrival\nPeriod & Number of Fellowships:\nFor a per
 iod of from three to six months\; the number of fellowships is about 20 pe
