DESCRIPTION:The Prix Schläfli\, one of the oldest science prizes in Switz
 erland (since 1866)\, is awarded by the Swiss Academy of Sciences (SCNAT) 
 to young scientists for excellent articles resulting from PhDs in the foll
 owing natural sciences disciplines:\n\n	‚‚Biology\n	‚‚Chemistry\n	‚‚
 Geosciences with a focus on the theme ’A Habitable Planet’\n	‚‚Pure 
 or Applied Mathematics\n\n\nDeadline: 31 October 2017\nPrize: CHF 5000 and
  support for a conference participation in each of the scientific fields\n
 Award ceremony: It will be held at the SCNAT General Assembly on 25 May 20
 18 in Bern\nEligibility criteria:\n\n\n	young researchers who did their do
 ctoral thesis at a Swiss University or Swiss nationals who did their PhD t
 hesis abroad\n	Candidates must have defended their doctoral thesis between
  1 November 2014 and 31 October 2017\n\nFor more information: Please have
