DESCRIPTION:ERC Synergy Grants enable 2-4 top researchers with compliment
 ary skills and knowledge to jointly address a research problem of their ch
 oice in unconventional ways. After a pilot in 2012 and 2013\, the ERC deci
 ded to re-introduce the Synergy Grant to its portfolio\, with the next Syn
 ergy Call expected to close on 14 November 2017.\n\nConsider applying for 
 a Synergy Grant if you are amongst the best researchers in your field a
 nd research age and have a cutting-edge research project in mind which nec
 essitates the close collaboration with colleagues from complimentary disci
 plines. Moreover\, you should be willing to expose yourself to one of the
