DESCRIPTION:Dr. A. Lopez Ariste - IRAP\, CNRS UMR 5277\, Toulouse\, F\nDis
locations\, or singularities in the phase of a wave\, are ubiquitous featu
res of waves. Much studied in light or sound\, we observe and study them i
n magnetohydrodynamic and Alfven waves in the solar plasma. We have found
them in sunspots and in the corona. Associated to those dislocations we ha
ve also observed superoscillations\, where the wave oscillates faster than
its highest Fourier frequency. Higher frequency means higher dissipation
which means effective heating of the solar corona
