DESCRIPTION:BRIDGE is a joint programme conducted by the Swiss National Sc
 ience Foundation (SNSF) and the Commission for Technology and Innovation (
 CTI). It offers new funding schemes at the intersection of basic research 
 and science-based innovation\, thereby supplementing the funding activitie
 s of the two organisations.\n\nYoung researchers are most welcome to parti
 cipate in the events\, where members of the BRIDGE Steering Committee and 
 of the evaluation panel will provide an overview of the funding options of
 fered under the BRIDGE programme. They will also talk about their initial 
 experiences with the Proof of Concept funding line and explain the submiss
 ion of proposals and potential award of funding through BRIDGE. This will 
 be followed by a buffet lunch\, the perfect opportunity to discuss specifi
 c points in greater detail. In particular\, we look forward to welcoming r
 esearchers from the humanities and social sciences and from the universiti
 es of applied sciences.\n\nThe events will mostly take place over lunch. A
 ttendance is free. As there is only a limited number of places\, it is adv
