DESCRIPTION:Over the past two decades\, a variety of technologies have bee
 n developed for precise spatial and temporal control of phase and amplitud
 e in optical systems\, including liquid crystal\, MEMS or deformable mirro
 r based systems. Such Spatial Light Modulator SLM technologies have recent
 ly reached a level of maturity that they are currently being introduced in
  new product lines\, and at the same time allow quite exciting novel resea
 rch directions. The aim of this workshop is to bring together key players 
 in industry and academia developing technologies and applications of spati
 al light modulators in order to enable new product and novel research deve
 lopments.
