DESCRIPTION:Aim: CHIST-ERA is a consortium of research funding organizatio
 ns - among them the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) - which are s
 upported by the European Union’s Future and Emerging Technologies (FET) 
 programme as an ERA-NET. CHIST-ERA funds transnational research projects a
 ddressing long-term Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and I
 CT-based research challenges and promotes multidisciplinary research with 
 a potential to lead to significant breakthroughs. The two topics of the co
 ming call are:\n1. Object recognition and manipulation by robots: Data sha
 ring and experiment reproducibility (ORMR)\n2. Big data and process modell
 ing for smart industry (BDSI)\n \nProposals must be submitted by internat
 ional consortia with research partners in at least 3 distinct countries (a
 dditional partners from other countries may be part of a consortium if the
 y can secure their own funding). CHIST-ERA provides a Partner Search Tool
  for submitting Expressions of Interest (EoI) by filling-in a webform. E
 ach consortium partner is funded separately by its national funding organi
 zation\, SNSF for Switzerland. Applicants must contact their national coor
 dinator prior submission in order to verify their eligibility (chistera@sn
 f).\n \nFunding and duration: Funding (amount): SNSF overall budget is 1
 ’000’000 CHF\, with the aim of 4-8 projects to be funded\nDuration: 24
